StayCart Buy Bar ("the App", "we", "us") is a Shopify theme app extension that displays a sticky add-to-cart bar on a store's product pages. The App runs entirely inside the merchant's theme as a client-side block in the shopper's browser, using only the settings the merchant chooses in the theme editor.
The App does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal information from merchants or their customers. Specifically, the App:
The add-to-cart bar is configured by the merchant in their own Shopify theme editor. The App's theme block renders it at page-render time. All processing happens in the visitor's browser; no data leaves the merchant's store.
The App stores no data on the developer's servers. Settings are saved by Shopify inside the merchant's own theme.
The App does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect any.
Because the App stores no data and runs as a client-side theme block, there is no separate data store to secure. The App's backend endpoints are served over HTTPS.
The App is intended for use by merchants and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
The App is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). As the App does not collect or process personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. We also honour Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact); because no data is stored, these requests are acknowledged and require no further action.
